Abigail Wright, Mezzo Soprano
Thrilled to have joined forces with Washington National Opera this season, Abigail Wright returns this spring to sing in Gounod’s Faust at the John F. Kennedy Center in DC.
She’s grateful for the high morale of everyone in the company and the amazing connections who have made simultaneously living and working in NYC and DC possible. Performances begin March 16.
“I really can’t contain my gratitude at the opportunity to work with these incredible musicians and humans on the creation of the role of Roanne Taylor, a schoolteacher in Emmett Till. Heartbreaking and poignant, the true story of the brutal murder of Emmett Till still needs to be told.”
Abigail sings the role of Roanne with Harlem Opera Theater, working with composer Mary D. Watkins and librettist Clare Coss as they workshop this terrifying and terrific opera.
