”A Doll's House, an opera-cabaret in 3 acts for 6 singers and 2 keyboards.

Voice Afire Opera-Cabaret is a production company that specializes in new ways of combining theater with live music. New York productions have included Butterfly’s Trouble, a re-invention for 7 performers of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly; The Art of Love for 2 pianos and actor; Kafka Shorts for string quartet and 2 actors; and In Kharms Way, a evening-length music theater piece, also for string quartet and 2 actors. A Doll’s House, adapted from Ibsen’s controversial play, is Voice Afire's latest production and requires 6 singers and 2 keyboards (piano and synthesizer). The production will be done on-book, in concert, with minimal staging.”
